The dress for the day! so we go back to the 1900's
This wonderful dress of silk and fine linen and lace is from around 1906-07 I really like this dress a lot, and thought i would make a short post with this dress, so enjoy.
Just found your blog, and totally enjoyed bouncing backwards through your posts. Its been a long time since I got to see the old Met costume exhibits, but this brings it back for me. Thanks!
I am so very glad you enjoyed it :) I have years of gathering images and books and have a small collection of antique fashion myself, and intened to post as much of it as I can...And I love the Mets costumes they have a wonderful collection, another good one is the Victoria and Albert fashion collection and the kyoto fashion institute, i intend to post some of those soon :)
