The dress of the day is an elegant 1950’s taffeta :)

I like a lot of 1950’s clothing and I love how Christian Dior brought back the Caroline, Dior loved Victorian clothing especially the 1850’ 1860’ and 1870’s and 1880’s he loved the shapes and fabrics and so set out to bring back many of the styles but modernize it, as he knew he couldn’t get women back in full length skirts, but his love of the Victorian styles made him think up new ways to have the look he so desired but make it modern and more wearable, so when he did it everyone copied it was so popular having full Caroline skirts that are reminiscent of the 1850’s and 1860’s that you could get these dresses every where, so thanks to Dior the 50’s ruled!
