This dress is a wonderful brown silk which has a wonderful leaf and flower pattern its very 1788-95. Just before the empire waist, of course a lot of older women kept wearing there clothes and did not want to give up there powdered wigs or there waisted dresses aka they didn’t want the new styles, and that has been true through out time there have always been people who didn’t want to wear the new styles or ones that made there own styles like Marie Antoinette and Georgina duchess of Devonshire and Gabrielle coco Chanel these women started there own trends, but now I m getting side tracked, I do intend to do a post about all 3 women and there fashion they designed , but before I got side tracked this great dress just speaks 1788-95.

Now these shoes are older than the gown and earrings but you have to have something match the outfit and these do light brown pair of muels of soft leather with embroidery ah these are just perfet even if they are from 1722-30.
